Tag… I’m it!
Who doesn’t love a good game of tag? Kelly tagged me in her blog, so, as the rules of the game go, I’m it!
1. Where Were You Ten Years Ago?
As much as Kelly will give me hell for this one, I was 12 (and three-quarters)… right smack in the middle of my awkward years. I had just finished my 7th grade year, and was decked out with braces and a bad haircut. I believe I had my first boyfriend around this time, and after 3 weeks I had one of my friends break up with him for me. Now that’s class.
2. Five Items on Your To-Do List Today
- Go to the gym
- Get my oil changed
- Check out the Altima Coupe at Nissan
- Work on some freelance stuff
- Go to bed before midnight
3. Snacks I Enjoy
- Cheese cubes
- Almond Accents
- Brie and Crackers
- CHOCOLATE (especially with raspberry)
4. What would you do if you were a billionaire?
I would give a portion to a charity I care about (most likely Multiple Sclerosis research), and a portion to my church. Then I would spoil myself and my loved ones. One lake house, one house close to my family, a boat, some new clothes, a few fabulous trips, and a flawless retirement plan for me; and a few well deserved gifts for my loved ones.
5. Places I would Live
Anywhere in the South (but I’ll be traveling every chance I get!)
Go Greek!
Greek sandals are all the rage. All stores have them, everyone is wearing them, so how can you stand out in a crowd of fashionable footwear? The answer: Melissinos. These Greek sandals are just that, Greek. Yup, that’s right, they are straight out of Greece. How about that for authentic?

Remembering a loved one
A very unfortunate occurrence caught me by complete surprise today. My sweet, sweet kitty (well, 13 year old kitty) had to be put down today. About a week ago she came inside from one of her daily outings with a gash on her back leg. I never once thought that her injury would lead to worse things, but it all went down hill from there. By Sunday she was incohearant and frail. Needless to say, upon a visit to the vet today we were told she was very ill and her vitals showed signs of oncoming kidney failure and diabetes. The decision was made to put her to sleep, and so it was done.
Everyone was very considerate today, and I appreciate it more than you know! In the midst of my mourning, one of my coworkers, Debi, mentioned an adorable idea that she had come up with when she lost her pet a few years back, and I had to share it!
In remembrance of a pet, use their collar or tags to create a Christmas ornament for your tree! This way, every Holiday season when your whole family, pets included, are gathered, you can remember your passed pet and smile :)
